Kim Poulos Lieberz is the entrepreneurial spirit, founder, CEO & Chief Creative Officer of KGI Design Group. For over 27 years, Kim has brought her dream of creative collaboration to life with KGI Design Group (KGI). KGI is a certified NYS, woman-owned über creative company specializing in graphic design and marketing for large organizations, small businesses, and not-for-profit companies. KGI has partnered with an eclectic cross-section of industries. The KGI design team specializes in offering a complete suite of integrated marketing solutions. KGI has offices on Main Street in Farmingdale, NY, where Kim leads key creative team members to develop cutting edge, captivating materials. Kim is a member of the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce, The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, SCWBEC, A’s Net, and TNT Networking Groups.
Kim regularly gives back to the community and was recently awarded the Vic Lambert Volunteer of the year award from the Farmingdale Chamber for 2020 to add to others she has received in the past. Kim and KGI are committed to donating time and resources to support many local not-for-profit groups, including The American Cancer Society, NYC, The New Jersey Rett Syndrome Association, Forgotten Friends, The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, The Kidney Foundation, SU:S Services for the Underserved, Honor Flight LI, Angels for Warriors and more. Kim has mentored many young designers, and KGI hosts interns for school credit. As a founding board member of 5013c DesigngGivers.org, Kim is helping raise funds for Feeding America along with the Interior Design Community. She is the founder of Barnyard Lane Sign Company, making quotes and sayings come to life in wood signs made at workshops she hosts or as DIY Kits. Kim also founded Uniforms for Unity, a 5013c dedicated to collecting and distributing children’s sports uniforms to the needy. Kim holds a BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in Illustration, graduating first in her class from The Fashion Institute of Technology.
She attended the Yale University Brissago program, which allowed her to study under renowned designers Armin Hoffman and Paul Rand. Before forming KGI, Kim worked at various New York City advertising agencies and design firms and on the client-side in the finance and entertainment industries. Kim’s work has been published in several design books and publications and has received awards including BDA International.
