As the executive producer, Hero combines old school beats with multiple musical influences including everything from Reggae, Ska, Blues, and Jazz to EDM and Trap.
Memory of a Memory is about losing a parent and for ‘Hero, specifically the track was the last track written for the album Global Domination, and was a bout his father who died tragically one week before ‘Hero’s first father’s day. “That was some 14 years ago now, and I wanted to include a track about my dad on the album. I thought of ‘Memory of a Memory’ because sometimes I wonder if I actually remember him, or do I remember remembering him? I wanted another track with all the artist involved on it as well. For Maya Miko, it was a perfect assignment because he lost hoi father when he was 6. Micwise is such a poet I know he was the perfect voice for the dead and I was VERY excited to have Mica Franco, a guest vocalist on 2 tracks for the album. Another tragedy is while I was making this track my mother died as we were recording and mastering it, so I was on the treadmill fine tuning the details of this track and I was just sick to my stomach."
