This is why it is so important that we invest in the well-being of our older adults, who have in many ways been disregarded by society. This was underscored during the pandemic during which 200,000 nursing home residents died, a staggering number. Jack Kupferman, president of the New York City network of The Gray Panthers, an elderly rights group, has dedicated his life to caring for the elderly.
