Between June 25th of 2007 and August of 2014 many people would have their lives changed or ended at the hands of someone who was entrusted with improving their quality of life as they got older. Elizabeth Wettlaufer would eventually be charged and convicted of eight counts of first degree murder, four counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault. All of these crimes were committed against people who had been placed in her care as a nurse. How, and why, did she commit the crimes that she committed and what can we learn from this case?
