He talks about being inspired by Nipsey Hussle. He talks about being inspired to rap after hearing a song with Sneezy who he ended up collaborating with by giving him a tattoo.   VBO is currently working on two albums. He says he was rushing to put out '1 Life 2 Live' and going through a journey of figuring out if music was for him.  He also talks about coming from the streets how it was about discretion, where music forced him to be more visible. We also discuss our mutual admiration for Warren Buffett.  VBO also discusses not being sure if he is the person that really wants to floss and his mom teaching him about the importance of money.   VBO also talks about his thoughts on Lil Nas X's recent video, why Jay-Z is his favorite rapper and artists he wants to collaborate with.

Christian rapper IV Conerly of HOGMOB talks about coming from an honest place when making his music and being mindful of his content but also believing Christians need to be in the conversation of all the issues going on in the world. We also discuss him being a rapper prior to being a Christian and being inspired to rap because his cousin was South Sentrelle from Tha Dogg Pound. He discusses being influenced by gang banging culture and being a gang affiliate in (North County S.D. & Los Angeles) and making typical gangsta rap before becoming a Christian.   IV remarks about finding trouble and trouble finding him even in the suburban city of Escondido and even after facing prison time and gun violence on numerous occasions and God delivering him from those situations, still not changing. IV recounts understanding the principles of Christ from his family but never considering himself a Christian until he found a desire to try something different and gradually changed after regularly hearing and studying the word.   He also speaks about being around East Coast artists causing him to step his penmanship up, focusing on multisyllabic rhymes on his new album"Giant Season" (which he worked on for three years) and wanting to work more with DJ Wrek and Blaqthoven. If he had to choose to work with a producer who wasn't a believer he chooses Dr Dre. He also talks about being a fan of Mary J. Blige and Stevie Wonder. We also talk about the impact of the internet on the music business. We conclude the interview with Ivy telling the powerful message he has for fans, discussing televangelism, the politicization of evangelicalism and the importance of believers being involved in local politics. He also tells what he would change about the music industry and what's next in his career!!
