She stated that eating can be helpful in response to emotions and that binging often happens when people are having emotions or are getting their needs met but are ashamed of themselves. She offers examples of when people might binge eat, citing hunger, deprivation, and emotional needs as the underlying causes. She encourages listeners to think of their emotions as messages from their soul and to welcome them!
