This week we go "full send" into the world of CrossFit, a training system that is still fairly new especially when compared to things like weightlifting, powerlifting and bodybuilding. The question is, is CrossFit bad for you? Is CrossFit worse for you than those other training modalities mentioned? Well, we've spoken about this before but it's 2022 now and we have some much larger and much newer scientific papers (listed at the bottom!) which will hopefully allow us to come to a more solid conclusion - Is CrossFit safe?
We also give our own thoughts on the world of CrossFit - Bill being a CrossFitter himself & Tom not - so we like to think we've tackled this in a non-biased way. We look at the variety of movements in CrossFit, we talk about the difference between the sport and training modality, and we look at "self-harm" in doing too much too soon. We finish by looking at the brand "CrossFit Inc" as Tom says numerous times "I love the training hate the brand"
